Professional Development 2017

  • Learning Matters educators, Sonya Philip and Samara Gupta, participated in an awe inspiring week long international summer institute at the Reggio Emilia Loris Malaguzzi Centre in Italy. They were left speechless by the high quality of education made possible due to the committed collaboration of the municipality, citizens, pedagogists, philosophers, teachers, artists, architects etc. to create a holistic approach towards children’s learning and well-being.

They were enriched by their approach that has at its core the rights of all children along with an in depth expertise in the pedagogy of learning.

  • Samini Philip attended an inspiring professional development course at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education called “Project Zero.” Project Zero maintains a strong research agenda and investigates the nature of understanding, thinking, creativity and other essential aspects of human learning.
